Laura Gooding

Laura earned her Master of Public and International Affairs degree with a concentration in Security and Intelligence in 2021, from the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. She held a Graduate Assistantship with the Vira I. Heinz Program for Women in Global Leadershipーa scholarship and leadership development program that sends women abroad every year with the goal of growing intercultural competency and civic engagement while empowering them to be global citizens. In addition, she served on the student leadership team for Pitt's chapter of Women in International Security, an international organization dedicated to increasing the presence and leadership of women in the international security arena. She has worked as an editor for graduate journals at both The University of Pittsburgh and Princeton University, and has participated in a Ford Institute for Human Security graduate research group that focused on the issue of human trafficking in global supply chains. She holds a BA in Anthropology and a Certificate in Transatlantic Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.
